How a $1 billion venture fund got its whole team using AI every week
Main Sequence is Australia's deep-tech venture fund, founded with CSIRO, with more than $1 billion under management. It backs more than 75 companies, and every one of them sends board packs, updates and valuations.

Before
The fund's knowledge was spread across six Google Drives, Notion and its CRM. Partners were building AI tools by hand and spending their time fixing them. Answering a simple investor question, like which companies have a defence angle, meant hours of digging and prompting.
What we built
One AI brain that knows the fund, plus a library of AI skills the whole team can use.
- Step 1
Every night the brain reads their six Google Drives, Notion and the CRM, and only shows each person what they're allowed to see.
- Step 2
Skills for the team's regular jobs, like valuation prep, live in one shared library.
- Step 3
Two of their team manage the library, so new skills get checked before everyone uses them.
- Result
100% · Of the team using AI every week
After
The whole team now uses AI every week. During the quarterly valuation cycle, the team leaned on a skill one of their own people built.
